Ever feel like giving up? Sure, but I don’t!

The past few months have been non-stop work with little guarantee of personal or financial gain.

I can’t help but wonder if all the effort is worth it.  I  believe in my projects and have devoted every ounce of available energy to their creation and development, but… but…

What if it’s just waste of time.   Who was it that said, “there’s nothing certain in life except death and taxes”?  Who cares.  It’s a stupid thing to say and I know that without taking a chance nothing ever changes.  When I start doubting myself, losing faith and feeling a pity party coming my way, I look to my favorite creative geniuses for advice.

Here’s what I found when I searched for creative inspiration…

A good quote usually shakes my doubts, but if not, I draw power from the art of creating.  To connect with that energy I browse through my photo collection for a fresh perspective.

Our Lady of Lebanon

While traveling in Lebanon during December of 2008, I was intrigued by the presence of both Christian and Muslim believers and how evidence of both was proudly displayed across the landscape.  This area has a unique history;  having been occupied by the Roman, Byzantines and Corinthians.  The photo above was taken from the midway point on a winding stairway climbing a 15 ton bronze statue of the Virgin Mary.  The view from the top was heavenly and standing amidst a group of tourists I wondered what it was like during the early times.  Click the photo for a wiki post and more about this famous spot.
